CHAIR: Amanda Smyers
Amanda is a Certification Training Specialist for the Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS). She is part of the Certification Leadership Training Team and is responsible for developing curriculum and delivering training to caseworkers and supervisors who are eligible to apply for the DFPS Certification Program. Amanda supervised the Tarrant County Crisis Intervention Program Coordinator for 8 years. Through this role, she planned, managed and ensured the overall achievement of the Tarrant County Crisis Intervention Program. The program provided group services for children and families dealing with sexual abuse.
VICE-CHAIR: Betty Arvin
Betty Arvin has been involved in criminal justice for 30 years. As a prosecutor she handled many sexual assault cases. After leaving the District Attorney's office, Betty worked at The Women's Center of Tarrant County in Rape Crisis and Victim Services as the attorney, helping victims/survivors of sexual assault and other violence. She particularly enjoys the education aspect of TCSAAC.
SECRETARY: Stephanie Cantu
Stephanie is a Staff Attorney for RioGrande Legal Aid. She is an active member of TCSAAC and also serves on the conference committee.
